What is the deadline to file a petition for writ of mandamus?
There is no fixed deadline for filing a petition for writ of mandamus. See CMH Homes v. Perez, 340 S.W.3d 444, 454 (Tex. 2011). However, when litigants have unreasonably waited to file their mandamus petition, relief may be denied based on the equitable principle of laches. See In re Mabray, 355 S.W.3d 16, 22 (Tex.
