What is “The Bluebook”?

“The Bluebook” refers “The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation,” published by the Harvard Law Review Association and complied by the editors of the Columbia Law Review, the Harvard Law Review, the University of Pennsylvania Law Review, and the Yale Law Journal. Citations in filings in a Texas appellate court are generally expected to comply with the rules listed in The Bluebook, as well as the rules listed in “Texas Rules of Form: The Greenbook,” which is published by the Texas Law Review at the University of Texas at Austin School of Law.
