What is the Eighth Administrative Judicial Region of Texas?

Texas trial courts are divided into eleven “administrative judicial regions,” which are not the same as the fourteen “court of appeals districts.” The Second Court of Appeals District (in Fort Worth) is composed of the following twelve counties: Archer, Clay, Cooke, Denton, Hood, Jack, Montague, Parker, Tarrant, Wichita, Wise, and Young. The Eighth Administrative Judicial Region (which includes Fort Worth) is composed of the following nineteen counties: Archer, Clay, Cooke, Denton, Eastland, Erath, Hood, Jack, Johnson, Montague, Palo Pinto, Parker, Somervell, Stephens, Tarrant, Wichita, Wise, and Young. Each administrative judicial region has one judge who presides over the region. The presiding judge of the Eighth Administrative Judicial Region is Judge David Evans, whose office is in Fort Worth.
